Water Aerobics

Try a different flair with this all-out, total body work out. Designed to strengthen and increase the efficiency of the cardiovascular system. This program will develop a more efficient oxygen intake and blood flow throughout the entire circulatory system. So you want to increase your endurance and muscle tone as well as your coordination and flexibility, now is the time to take that first courageous step on the path to a healthy and fit life style. Age 16 and older.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday Only:

  • 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
  • 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Monday, Wednesday Only:

  • 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m

Tuesday, Thursday Only:

Aqua Range of Motion (ROM) & Aerobics

Aqua ROM is a water exercise program developed to increase strength, flexibility, and endurance. This class runs for 6 week sessions and is basically designed for those persons who are just beginning an exercise program. This class is primarily for those who suffer from arthritis, joint replacements, heart conditions, or those recovering from an operation. If you are telling yourself that you are past the point of reconditioning those body parts, come try out our exercise program and let the SCCC show you otherwise. Ages 16 and over.

Water Walking

Performed with styrofoam flotation belts; water walking consists of moving “vertical” through the deep end of the pool while exercising. The buoyant support of the water effectively cancels approximately 90% of the weight of a person submerged to the neck. The resistance is 12 times greater exercising in water than it is on land. Age 16 and older.
